Tell us about yourself:

I’m from Traverse City, Michigan, I’m 18 years old, and I attend College as a multimedia journalism major. I enjoy reading, writing, and photography.

Biggest dream:

To travel the world and experience new things, people, and cultures as often as possible.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, and there is no set definition of what beautiful looks like; it’s one thing to be beautiful on the outside, but being beautiful on the inside is what matters in the end.

Modeling experience:

I’ve wanted to model as long as I can remember. I had my first photoshoot in 7th grade, but didn’t really get heavily into modeling until my senior year of high school. I started modeling for local brands, and did runway work for bridal expos. In September of 2019, I competed in my first pageant for Miss Michigan Teen USA under the title Miss Traverse City Teen, which was an amazing experience.

Dream brand to model for?

My dream brand to model for would definitely be Sherri Hill or Jovani, I’m a big fan of dresses and gowns and find those to be the most fun to model.

My fashion style?

I would say my fashion style depends on the day. In general, I like to keep it classy and elegant, yet casual, though I very much enjoy dressing up whenever the opportunity arises.

How important is self-awareness and confidence to me in everyday life?

I consider self-awareness and confidence to be extremely important in everyday life. I personally believe that confidence is beautiful, and that it is the single most important trait somebody can possess, especially in this industry.

What makes me beautiful?

I feel like this is a hard question to answer with humility, but I would say my heart and my passion for helping others is what makes me beautiful; I believe in building others up, rather than tearing down.

What would I say to another person my age struggling with confidence?

I would tell them to do some self-reflection on what they love about themselves, and tell them to focus on their positives. So many people these days are so caught up focusing on their negatives that they completely overlook everything that makes them so special and so wonderfully unique, because as stated earlier, everyone is their own kind of beautiful.
