Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

Twenty four year old Libra here from a small town in Massachusetts. Passions include yoga, fashion, writing, creating and photography.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My interest in modeling and acting came at a very young age. I always knew it’s what I wanted to do but as a kid it’s hard to figure out how to get there, I know I personally struggled with getting my foot in the door all the way up into l my twenties. During college I worked with small brands doing retail to their runway shows and website spreads. Working with photographers and designers even on a small scale instilled the confidence and passion I needed to keep pursuing this.

What is your biggest dream?

I come from a very creative background from painters to artists down to my personal craft which is styling and fashion design. My entire life I have struggled to find my personal style and size for an affordable price and so after lots of trial and error I recently started researching and the beginning stages of creating my own clothing brand. Personally this is something I want to see flourish in the years to come and ideally works seamlessly with my other passion for modeling.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I love this question because it really is so hard to define. I think everyone is beautiful in their own way so it’s hard to pinpoint what it is exactly that makes people beautiful. Although, to me; it's simply kindness. In life there are a lot of different things you can be; pretty, successful, rich, witty, but in my opinion none of that means a thing if the person lacks kindness and confidence. No matter what you look like on the outside, if you are content and true to who you are, you're gonna find others who love you for the authenticity.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I am a walking contradiction and I change things up Alot- but my innate style is boho chic; flowy earthy tones. Although, as I’ve evolved and grown up I have found a real love in eclectic parisian styles, fitted forms, high end. The most interesting people to look at are the ones who are able to express themselves through their personal styles, taking risks and definitely never falling for all the trends coming at us all of the time. It takes a lot of time and contemplation to embody your true style from your head to your toes so creating pinterest boards/ mood boards to research styles is my personal favorite way to expand my fashion etiquette.

Who or what inspires you?

Simply put; everything. Growing up and especially now in my twenties I’ve been told I embody a bit of a Carrie Bradshaw type. For me, that’s the biggest compliment being that my top three favorite things are my closet, my family/friends, and my career. I’m a huge fan of photography and artists such as Amber Asaly and Devon Lee Carlson. I love Amber’s ability to create such unique and exotic photos and Devon Lee Carlson has the closet of my dreams. Another inspiration of mine would have to be Tezza Barton. I’ve been following her photography career since I was in my teens and currently use her app to edit photos/videos all the time. Her vision and color palettes embody the tones I really love. Her work stands alone in my book as a creator.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

To answer this question I thought back to what I would’ve wanted or needed to hear when I first got started and that is that no one creates a masterpiece overnight. As young individuals we are ever changing down from our style to our size. In light of that I feel it’s important to get comfortable in front of the camera alone, then reach out to photographers and build a portfolio that embodies you at your most authentic self. Rejection is something that comes through way more than acceptance so it’s super important to remember that nothing will pass you by if it’s meant for you and to use any feelings of rejection to push yourself even farther into the person you dream of becoming.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Losing a parent was the hardest obstacle I’ve ever had to face. I was fourteen when I lost my dad. There is really no easy way to overcome that obstacle though, it is really a life long hurdle I have to deal with every day but I can say that every day I have gotten stronger, more determined and wiser to take on all life's other hurdles coming my way.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

Before anything else I am kind. I care about others, those around me, even strangers because it’s in my nature, definitely an empath. I believe this quality is to my benefit and I hope that it rubs off on others around me.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Confidence is key yet the hardest thing to grasp onto and keep. For me I just view confidence as a part of the golden rule and something I simply cannot leave the house without. Once you view it as an integral part of being human like our hands or feet it will be easier to embody it.
