Tell us about yourself: I am from Arizona and am 18 years old. I started modeling when I was six years old and have been strengthening my passion ever since.

Tell us about your modeling experience.  My first big gig was when I got signed with SWMT four years ago and furthered my opportunities by auditioning at IMTA New York receiving five callbacks. I wanted to continue modeling and acting so I also did the National American Miss Pageant in Scottsdale, Arizona and won five awards, one of which being Top Model.

What is your biggest dream? My biggest dream is to become a Victoria Secret model.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful? To be your own kind of beautiful you must first find exactly what your calling or passion is and keep persevering until you get where you want to be making sure you are encouraging others along the way, nothing is more beautiful than an educated, independent woman in my eyes.

How would you describe your fashion style? My fashion style varies with my mood, therefore I would call it expressive. On days that I feel more dainty I love wearing a feminine dress, a small purse, and a cute pair of heels. On days that I feel more bold I appreciate a more classy look, for an example, I love little black boots, leather pants or black jeans, a nice puffy jacket, etc. My absolute favorite clothing item is a tight skirt because of how confident it makes me feel.

Who or what inspires you? Gigi Hadid is one of my biggest inspirations, in my opinion her style is unmatched and her confidence is immaculate. She is so stunning and glamorous, even on her worst days.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling? My biggest advice I can give to an aspiring model is to be very patient and persevering. It is okay to start small, everyone must start somewhere. I believe that you must find your inner confidence and learn to be your best self, whatever that means to you. Try your best to set a good example for those around you and always radiate positivity. My last piece of advice is to never forget those that helped you along the way and to always show gratitude and appreciation.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

When I was younger I found myself insecure. I was always a tinier girl and got made fun of for being so skinny. As I got older I looked myself in the mirror and thought to myself “this ends now”. I started listening to podcasts on self confidence and doing whatever made me feel beautiful. During this learning journey I learned that I must glow up from the inside out, I started eating healthier and going to the gym to truly achieve my dream body. Sooner rather than later I started to notice a big change in both my attitude and physique making me more confident than I’ve ever been. The most important thing I learned is to never let negative words others may say get to you, and instead use it as fuel to turn into something positive.

What makes you beautiful/handsome? I believe what makes me beautiful is my passion to help others. I completed two years of medical school while I was in high school to obtain my medical assistant certification and furthered my knowledge in patient care. This time of my life inspired me even more so to make the decision to go to college and work hard to obtain a future degree in the healthcare field. Just this year I did over 50 hours of volunteer/community service because I truly enjoy spending my time knowing I’m making a difference and taking care of those that need me.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence I would say to not be so hard on yourself, comparison can be one of your biggest downfalls making it difficult for you to stay confident so avoiding comparison is key. Social media is a lot of photoshop and editing, remember these are peoples best moments, hiding their worst ones off screen in their day to day lives so there is no use in comparing yourself. You just need to find your inner beauty and passions and shine even when no one else is watching. My biggest advice is to always keep in mind that self care is vital for you along this journey of discovering/ increasing your confidence so never forget that.
