I am a 20 year old college student from a small town in Maryland. I grew up on a horse farm with lots of animals.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
My modeling experience started at the age of around 5 years old when I was featured in discovery channels children's magazine. I have always had a passion for modeling from a young age. I have done freelance work with local advertising campaigns in my hometown. I also was given the opportunity to walk in DC fashion week this past fall and was honored to walk for three different designers. I also have print experience with photographers that are in the industry.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to be able to make my modeling career a reality and take it internationally.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Being your own kind of beautiful can mean many different things. Being able to be confident in who you are and having self love makes everyone their own kind of beautiful.
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is a mixture between casual and classic but also with a side of glam to it. I always try to dress in a way that is comfortable for me but also flatters me.
Who or what inspires you?
On a personal level someone who inspires me would have to be my Mother, without her none of this would ever have been possible. She has always been so strong and my biggest supporter.
Another person who inspires me would be Bella Hadid, I have always looked up to her and her modeling career for as long as I can remember.
What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
My advice for someone who is just getting started with modeling is to do all of the research that you can, knowledge is power in an industry like this one. Also to never stop believing in yourself, nothing in this industry is handed to anyone or happens over night, lots of people i know as well as myself have become discouraged multiple times throughout our careers.
Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.
Some obstacles I have overcome in my life would have to be living in such a small town. I have always struggled with being able to make connections with people in the industry with my location. My location also comes with obstacles in itself, where I am from there is no opportunity for anyone looking to get into the modeling industry, so to succeed I had to work a little harder to get myself out there and be seen.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
What makes me beautiful is my self confidence and motivation.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
Something I would tell someone my age that is struggling with their confidence would be to be selfish. There is nothing wrong with doing things that make you feel good or benefit you in any way, especially if that thing can help with your confidence. Also do not compare yourself to people, there will always be someone who is bigger, better, prettier,etc. That does not matter because you are only seeing one side of that person and internally they may be struggling with the same exact thing that you are. Always love yourself at the end of the day you only have yourself.
