Tell us about yourself

Hi! I’m Grace I was raised in a small town in Wisconsin. I grew up as an equestrian and competing in lots of competitions. As I grew up I knew I  always wanted to pursue modeling, I just had to figure out how and teach myself all the steps!

Tell us about your modeling experience. I started taking modeling seriously around age 17. I started reaching out to photographers and brands and went to as many photo shoots as possible to gain experience and knowledge and build my portfolio. I had no one to teach me and not a lot of support, so I taught myself.

What is your biggest dream? To work for a big brand like Victoria secret, and to also create my own business as well.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful? I think owning who you are, not worrying if you don’t fit in or don’t look a certain way but  carrying yourself with confidence and kindness and owning your uniqueness.

How would you describe your fashion style? I grew up more so of a tomboy, I hated dressing up. Still to this day I like to dress more casual, street style. But now I really love to dress up for special occasions. I’m always looking for new styles to try out!

Who or what inspires you? I would say my grandpa, he passed away this year. But he was the wisest and hardest working man I ever new. Thinking of him always reminds me to be kind and never give up on my dreams

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling? Relax! Put some music on when you’re shooting, get into the flow and just have fun! Practice poses in front of the mirror and learn your angles

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you. Growing up I was bullied for how I looked, that led me into an eating disorder at 10. I was sent to the hospital multiple times and was close to not recovering. By Gods grace I’m in recovery and learning how to cope in healthy ways.

What makes you beautiful/handsome? I think my  uniqueness and I choose to treat people. I see beauty in everyone, I really do think everyone is beautiful in their own way, most people just don’t look in the right places.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence:

Own who you are, and carry yourself with confidence. Most people are so concerned with themselves they don’t think twice about how you look! Confidence is everything, if you believe you’re beautiful, they are gonna believe it too, you have to set the tone.
