Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

I was born and raised in Alabama, but I will be moving to Virginia in 2023. I started modeling in 2020 and have enjoyed working with some wonderful artists and creators over the past few years!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

Most of my modeling experience is runway. I have modeled for a few local fashion shows in Alabama and, most recently, had the opportunity to model for the Coastal Fashion Week (CFW) show in New York during Fall NYFW 2021. While in New York, I was able to work with photographers from the CFW crew which was a great experience. Locally, I have modeled for Altar’d State through paid partnerships on Instagram and other local designers.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to own my own business one day. I am very passionate about ethical and sustainable fashion. As for my modeling career, I would love to have the opportunity to model in New York Fashion Week again.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Here’s a quote from the Gospel Coalition that I love on the subject of beauty:

John Piper uses a fabulous analogy of a telescope. He explains that a telescope points to the stars. People don’t gather around the telescope marveling at the telescope and stop there. Instead, the telescope becomes a conduit, allowing people to marvel at the stars. Beauty was given to draw people to glorify God.

There is nothing more beautiful, though, than Jesus and the sweet gospel of salvation. Here we see ultimate beauty and long for more of God.

Being my own kind of beautiful means understanding that I am a vessel to glorify Jesus. He has made us all beautifully in his image to bring glory to Him.

How would you describe your fashion style?

Boho chic. Some days I want to wear flowy dresses and flowers while, other days, I want to wear my sparkly Mama Mia pantsuit! It all depends on the day. No matter what, I love statement pieces and bold pops of color.

Who or what inspires you?

My twin sister Rachel inspires me every day. Her work ethic is inspiring and even when she has difficult days, she still seeks out ways to help others.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Take initiative! If a door will not open, keep knocking and find creative ways to open that door.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

While being an identical twin is one of the greatest parts of my life, constant comparison from others and ourselves is something we have both had to guard against. As I’ve grown older, my sister and I have learned to love our differences and the strengths the other person has!

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

The first thing I notice about a person is if they are inclusive to those around them when they communicate. I think that quality makes a person beautiful… I strive to be this way!

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Actively guard your mind against comparison. When you start to compare yourself to someone else, instead, dwell on the things that you love about yourself and THEN appreciate qualities about another person that maybe you don’t have! Where there’s a quality to appreciate about someone else, there is also a quality to appreciate that you have. Also, surround yourself with people that support you and lift you up!
