Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

My name is Kayla Mynatt and I am from Birmingham, AL. I was on my high school’s dance team for 4 years, as well as danced in a studio for 4 years. I graduated high school in 2022 from Spain Park. In my free time, I enjoy keeping my body active with a workout, learning a dance, reading, or being with my friends.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

In 2015-2016, I was a student at the Barbizon Modeling & Acting School. I attended their classes, workshops, and found any chance to be in front of the camera to practice this craft. In Atlanta, GA I attended their competition that included acting out a 15 second TV commercial and walking the runway. Worked through many workshops and had the opportunity to meet different agencies around the US.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to explore and improve more of my talents in dance to become more professional and see what opportunities I can go for. I hope to travel a lot, whether that is with dance or modeling but it is one of my favorite things.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

God made everyone in his own way and you are all beautiful on the inside and outside.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is definitely cute but casual looks but will always be ready to get dressed up for the fun of it.

Who or what inspires you?

My dad has inspired me since I was a little girl. He always kept me on my feet getting through challenges that came my way.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Do not ever let somebody talk you out of your dreams or what you are thinking of going for. Dreams are meant to be chased and you can get to them. Rejection is a hard part of the process but keeping your focus on what you want will go a long way.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I have struggled with comparing myself to girls my age the more I knew I wanted to model and go farther into the industry. I gained a lot more confidence after completing Barbizon and through my years of dance team.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I think what makes you beautiful is how we treat others the way we want to be treated and helping others strive for success.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Think of yourself completing your biggest dream and never think of anything different. Confidence can make or break an audition, casting, or just a conversation. Look to God and if you find yourself with a lot of stress, pray about it and talk with him for strength and confidence.
