Tell us about yourself

My name is Taylor Furlani. I am 23 years old and I’m from NEPA. I have B.S. in Fashion Studies with a minor in marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In my spare time, I love to dance and spend quality time with family and friends.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

Since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to model. It wasn’t until my senior year of college when I worked with a local photographer from my area doing boudoir shoots. Since then, I’ve been investing time into learning more about the modeling industry. Although I am new to the industry, I look forward to expanding my horizons with experiences that will push me out of my comfort zone.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be an inspiration to young women. I would love to travel the world and walk in major fashion week events and collaborate with some of my favorite brands.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful means staying true to your own authentic self, loving yourself for who you are, and embracing your own uniqueness with confidence.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I believe my mood genuinely has an impact on what I wear but I would say my fashion style is a mix of comfy, casual, streetwear, and chic.

Who or what inspires you?

My mom. I have looked up to her all my life. She is strong, resilient, hardworking, but most importantly, kind-hearted. She has always inspired me to be the best version of myself.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

As someone who is just getting started with modeling, my advice is: don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and never give up on yourself. Stay persistent: no matter how long it takes, trust the process, there will always be a place for you.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

There have been many obstacles throughout the years, some bigger than others, but one of the biggest obstacles in my life that I have faced is anxiety. It is something I still struggle with but I have found ways to manage it. I have found relaxation techniques and journaling to be the most helpful. These obstacles have not only made me much more stronger and resilient, but has shaped me into the person I am today.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me most beautiful is my kindness, determination, and confidence.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Do not compare yourself to others. Life is too short to worry about what others think. Be kind to yourself and believe in your worth. You are unique and beautiful in your own way.
