Tell us about yourself

My name is Michelle D. I live in Pennsylvania. I am currently a senior in high school. I’ve played soccer for most of life. I’ll be attending college in the fall to further my education in nursing.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to finish out college with a nursing degree and further my education to help others and go to medical school.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started modeling about a year ago. I usually did small modeling shoots to help photographers get more exposure in their careers.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful starts with being your true self. True beauty comes from the heart and how you treat and value others.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is in a bunch of different directions. I love to have a glamorous colorful look but I also appreciate the sporty and comfy look.

Who or what inspires you?

My obstacles throughout life has inspired me the most l. The strength and courage I gained from my past obstacles has made me into who I am today.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Confidence will always be key. People see confidence more then they do beauty.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

There’s been so many obstacles throughout my life that has shaped me into the woman I am today. One specific obstacle that has changed me getting spinal fusion surgery. Recovering from this surgery had forced out the strength in me that I didn’t even know I had. After recovery I really struggled with my self image especially with the scar I was left with down my spine. Modeling has helped me feel more confident in my own skin and recognize the beauty in my flaws.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is my compassion for other people. I love to help others.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Be yourself. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way.
