Tell us about yourself : Hello! My name is Desiree’ W, I am 23 years old and i am from North Carolina. I am a mama to a one year old, and i also do photography in my free time! I have wanted to model for as long as i could talk. I love being behind and in front of the camera! 

What is your biggest dream? My biggest dream is to be on the cover of vogue. Though ambitious, anything you set your mind to can be achieved!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful? To be unique is what means beauty to me. Whatever makes YOU, you!

How would you describe your fashion style? My fashion style is neutral colors with a pop of color!

Who or what inspires you? My mom is my biggest inspiration. She has never lost a battle she didn’t fight. She is one of my biggest supporters. 

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling? CONFIDENCE! It truly does show when you are confident. You just glow different. Others can tell when you are feeling yourself vs when you are not feeling yourself. Sometimes we have to fake it till we make it but you would be surprised where a little bit of confidence can go. Don’t think “you aren’t pretty enough” or “tall enough”. Again, modeling is about being unique! ANYONE can be a model!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you. Anxiety has been a huge struggle throughout my life. Anxiety is something I face daily. Meditation truly helps me overcome these battles. Also learning the concept of acceptance has helped me majorly. I also tell myself, “you have to accept things as they are. Whatever happens is meant for you.”

What makes you beautiful/handsome? My personality is what truly makes me beautiful. My mom raised me to treat others with kindness. I don’t have a “mean bone” in my body. I truly treat everyone how i want to be treated. This helps me build relationships with others. 

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence? Be kind to yourself! what makes you YOU, is what makes you beautiful!
