Tell us about yourself

I'm from Granite Falls, WA, I'm 26 years old, I am a photographer as well as a model, a wife, mom, and avid 80's rock lover. I love Jesus, I love to travel, cook, and play guitar. Running is one of my favorite athletic activities.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I have modeled for a lot of local photographers in the Seattle area, I have been trying for years to get signed to a reputable agency that can help provide me with consistent work.

What is your biggest dream?

To be the best example of kindness and grace to my daughter Scarlett. To raise her to love God and people and to always be kind to those around her. I'd also love to get paid to model for large clothing and beauty brands.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To embrace who you are, to go after what you love and to not be ashamed to look silly while doing it. Knowing that even if you fall along the way, you are still beautifully and uniquely made and you should embrace that. I think that having confidence in who you are and having a kind heart makes anyone beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

A little bit of everything. Classic french, rock and roll, bold colors, simplistic neutrals. I love it all and love trying new clothing styles. Why should you have just one?

Who or what inspires you?

Seeing other people excel at what they love to do has always inspired me. I love to see success in people, it pushes me to be better and do better. I also love to learn and learning new things inspires me a lot.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Reach out to local photographers and offer to model for them, get in front of the camera as much as you can. Getting comfortable in front of the camera and learning your angles and how to move will really play a huge role in your modeling career. Don't be afraid to take risks in front of the camera.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

In 2020 after I had my daughter I was sent home with an unknown hemorrhage. I was bleeding out and almost died. Recovering from that was a huge hurdle in my life because it created major PTSD with doctors and medicine. Shortly after my recovery from that, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This has changed my life in every way. When you have to read every food label, can't eat out, or eat at a family member's house because of the risk of cross contamination, it creates a huge challenge. I have learned how to navigate this and overcome it, with the proper precautions.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

If we're talking physically, I'd say my high cheek bones, big eyes, big head, full lips, and jawline. If we're talking internally, I'd say my ability to find the silver lining in every situation, and to be patient and kind to those around me, regardless of how they treat me. "Do unto others and you'd have done to you."

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

For a lot of people it takes time. I was bullied a lot in middle school and it shattered my self confidence until late high school. It wasn't until I stopped caring what people thought of me, or how they viewed me, that I started to accept myself and see myself as beautiful. Which in return boosted my confidence.
