Tell us about yourself

I am a 22 year old originally from Pretoria, South-Africa. In 2023 I graduated at the University  of Pretoria with a 4 year degree in Information Design. I have always been drawn to all things  creative and artistic.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I have been modeling since the age of 18, mostly editorial shoots and walking runway. It was  challenging to balance my studies and modeling career, but I have a great passion for it and  therefore always tried to make it a priority.

What is your biggest dream?

One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world whilst doing something I love, whether it be  modeling or another career opportunity. I strongly believe that one should try to experience as  much as possible of what life has to offer.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Personally for me it means that you feel comfortable in your own skin, and that you are not  constantly comparing yourself to the appearance of others. One of the bravest things you can  do is be yourself, and do what makes you happy, in my opinion that is the fastest way to  stand out from a crowd.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I prefer to dress minimalistic and timeless. I like to wear neutral pieces that can be dressed up  or down, and always embrace my natural beauty.

Who or what inspires you?

Someone’s passion for doing what they love inspires me. I appreciate it when people are  brave enough to make their dreams a reality regardless of how bizarre it might be.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Be yourself and try to enjoy every opportunity you are given. Trust the process and always  have patience.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped  you.

Since I studied a degree within the visual arts it was surprising how many people considered  it of lesser value or even saw it as something easy that is not challenging at all, which is  simply not the case. I think creativity is one of the best skills to have and requires very hard  work. This has motivated and shaped me to always look for the beauty in the ordinary and  have the ability to really appreciate creative vision.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I have a look that is unique and can be used for showcasing many different styles. I take pride  in my natural features in order to intrigue an audience, and I have been told I am quite  photogenic.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Daily positive affirmations is a great way to boost your confidence, even if it is just small  things you appreciate about yourself, it is also important to not see others success as your  failures. Everyone has their own journey.
