Tell us about yourself:

My name is Sophia O, I am 17 years old. I grew up in New Mexico, but I currently live in Oklahoma.

Tell us about your modeling experience:

I casually modeled throughout elementary school, but I am now seriously pursuing modeling as my career.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to model for Vogue, walk the runway at Paris Fashion Week, and well as walk in a Victoria’s Secret show.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me, being my own kind of beautiful is creating beauty on the inside such as kindness, and self worth, which will show on the outside.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my fashion style as casual New York with some coastal inspiration mixed in.

Who or what inspires you?

I get inspiration from successful models’ everyday lives and seeing where their career has taken them.

What advice would you give someone who is just getting started in modeling?

My advice for someone beginning to model would be to not give up if you get rejected, the right agency or the right job will accept you at the right time.

What are some obstacles you have faced and how have they changed you?

In my early high school years, I struggled very badly with health issues. This caused me to lose weight that I could not afford to lose, which damaged my self worth and confidence. As I have become healthy again, I can see that even though my body was not how I wanted it to be at the time, I was still beautiful, and am beautiful.

What makes you beautiful?

What makes me beautiful is not just my long limbs, and striking features, but also how I carry myself and how I treat others, and view the world.

What would you say to someone struggling with self confidence?

To someone struggling with their confidence I would say that accepting and loving yourself for who you are is not an over night process and it takes a combination of practicing self-love and surrounding yourself with people who will build you up.
