Tell us about yourself:

My name is Eliza Gregory, and I am 19 years old, soon to turn 20! I was born and raised in the hot and beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Marketing at Western Governors University. Some of my hobbies include reading, I am a major bookworm, I love to travel and explore what the world has to offer, and I also enjoy hiking. Additionally,  I enjoy expressing my creativity through graphic design art.

Tell us about your modeling experience:

Although I am at the beginning of my modeling career, I've had some exciting opportunities that have helped me grow and gain exposure in the industry. I've done some print modeling for a family-owned flower shop in Las Vegas, which was a wonderful introduction to working in front of the camera. Additionally, I was selected to walk for Barbizon Acting and Modeling at their 2023 December competition in Atlanta Georgia. More recently, I participated in the Las Vegas Pacific Island Fashion Show, where I had the honor of wearing designs by Willfredo Gerardo, a highlight that has significantly enriched my modeling experience.

What is your biggest dream?

My ultimate dream is to travel the world, achieve financial freedom, and have the flexibility to work on my own terms. Specifically within the modeling industry, I aspire to model professionally, whether on the runway or in print. Achieving success in modeling would empower me to fulfill my broader goals of exploring new places and managing my own schedule. Additionally, I dream of giving back to my family, who have been my unwavering support system. Their encouragement has been crucial in my journey, and I hope to make them proud by succeeding in ways that enable me to support them in return.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me being your own kind of beautiful transcends mere physical attractiveness. It's about embodying inner beauty, which I believe is reflected through qualities like kindness, love, and loyalty. These traits are fundamental in defining a person's true beauty. Furthermore, I see confidence and self-love as essential aspects of beauty. it is not always easy to maintain a positive self-image in a world that often focuses on the negative, but embracing oneself fully, flaws and all can truly make someone shine. In my view, those who can be a beacon of light and positivity in darker times exemplify real beauty.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is quite eclectic and varies significantly depending on my mood. Some days, I feel drawn to the more feminine aesthetic, enjoying the softness and elegance of dresses and skirts that enhance my girly side. On other days, I prefer a casual, laid-back look, opting for ripped jeans paired with a comfortable crop top for an effortlessly chic vibe. However, if I'm being honest, there's a part of me that would be happiest living in sweatpants and a cozy sweater.

Who or what inspires you?

My sources of inspiration are deeply intertwined with my values and aspirations. Nature is a profound influence in my life; it grounds me and brings peace. Additionally, I am greatly inspired by strong, independent women who embody resilience and empowerment. These role models encourage me to pursue my ambitions relentlessly and to carve my own path in life.

What advise would you give to someone who is just starting in modeling?

As someone relatively new to the modeling industry myself, I may not have years of professional advice to draw upon, but one thing I've learned is the importance of perseverance. It might sound cliche, but persistence is crucial in this field. Rejection is an inherent part of the modeling job and can be tough to handle. However, it's important to remember that each rejection is not a reflection of your worth or potential. Don't take it personally. If modeling is truly your passion, continue to work hard, improve your skills, and keep putting yourself out there. The right opportunities will come as long as you are willing to stay dedicated and keep moving forward despite the setbacks.

What are some obstacles you have faced and how have they changed you?

Throughout my 19 years, I've encountered a range of challenges that have significantly shaped who I am today. Experiencing my parents' divorce and navigating through a series of no-so-great friendships and toxic relationships have all tested my resilience and strength. However, the most profound and ongoing challenge I face is my journey of self-discovery. This path has been both emotionally draining and immensely rewarding, as I explore various activities and career options to find what truly resonates with me. By embracing opportunities, I am learning to deal with discomfort and uncertainty, which are invaluable skills in both my personal and professional development.

What makes you beautiful?

I believe that true beauty originates from within. I pride myself on being a genuinely good person, which is the foundation of my beauty. My kindness, strength of mind, and openness are qualities I cherish and continually strive to nurture. Having a big heart allows me to connect deeply with others and contribute positively to their lives. While humorously I might add that having a pleasant face doesn't hurt, I firmly believe that these internal characteristics are what truly define beauty.

What would you say to someone who is struggling with their confidence?

Confidence is a trait that often doesn't come naturally, and at my age, I completely understand that struggle. My advice would be to "fake it till you make it." This doesn't mean being insincere but rather stepping into challenges with the faith that you can succeed. Trust in your abilities, and even when you feel unsure, embrace the opportunities that come your way. Say yes first and then figure out the how, this approach has helped me grow immensely. Additionally, never stop working on yourself, both internally and externally. Whether it's improving your physical fitness, honing your skills, or developing your emotional intelligence, continuous self-improvement fuels confidence. By pushing your boundaries and consistently investing in yourself, you'll find that with time, what you once faked can become a genuine self-assurance.
