Tell us about yourself

My name is Ashlyn Nagel, I am 20 years old, and I’m from Pilot Mountain NC. I am very active, in high school I was a part of the marching band, cheer team, cross country, drill, national honors society, and the raider team. While doing all of that, at the same time, I also had a part time job. Now I work full time, go to college for cosmetology full time, and in my free time I model.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream would be to become a world wide know model, to model on red carpets, and on the fronts of bigs magazines.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To me to be my own kind of beautiful is to stand out. To be something different and make my own path. To not only be a model but help others achieve their dreams as well.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

Modeling so far for me has been amazing. I’ve modeling for many Instagram companies and now I have signed with my first modeling agency. As an Instagram model I’ve gained followers quickly and they are the sweetest, always supporting me and showing love.

What is your dream brand to model for?

The brand I have always dreamed of modeling for is Calvin Klein, I absolutely adore CK. I own a lot of their clothing and some bags so whenever I shoot in anything of theirs I’m always tagging and hashtagging with hopes I’ll catch their eye.

How would you describe your fashion style?

Honestly my style has a lot of “branches” to it, my favorite is anything pink and girly, but I wear anything from army ACU’s to ball gowns. Any color and all shapes and sizes. I do try to keep up with the latest styles though.

How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?

Confidence and self-awareness is very important to me, when I was younger I kept in my shell and only talked to a handful of people. At one point I decided no more, I started dressing how I wanted, I styled my hair, and started talking to people. I credit my whole modeling career to my confidence because it’s what gets me out there to do all my shoots to my best ability.

What makes you beautiful?

Beauty comes in many forms but all beauty comes from the soul. The person you are when no one is looking. To be a good, helpful, and kind person is what I consider my beauty.

What would you say to another girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

For any other girls or guys struggling with confidence, just do you! Never let someone’s opinions change you, they are just their OPINIONS. The only person you need to listen to is yourself, if you like it and it makes you happy then go for it.
