Tell us about yourself

I am from a small town in West Virginia, I love it. I am 18 years old, I go to Fairmont State University, I am a freshman in college and I am in the nursing program here at Fairmont.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to be extremely happy with my life and myself. I try so hard to have the "perfect life" and I know that is never going to be possible. My dream is to become a flight nurse, but my dream may be changing ever since you signed me, I could not be happier.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Wow.. to be your own kind of beautiful is very important to me because I have struggled with my own kind of beautiful for years. I have struggled with being anorexic and being a full time athlete and trying to be healthy for not only myself but for my mom because it was killing her inside seeing me the way I was. I have struggled with depression for about four years now, and despite that, I think I am very strong for going through what I have. You should never lose yourself over anyone else.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My modeling experience is very small, I modeled for photographers from around where I am from, and various bridal and dress boutiques. This is way different more than I have ever attended and I could not be any more excited! I cannot believe this.

What is your dream brand to model for?

My dream brand would most definitely be Calvin Klein!!! I see my favorite celebrities on there and it would just be an honor.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style varies, to school I always where Lululemon because it is most comfy and stylish, but from outside of school more Boho style and lots of different outfits where I can layer clothes on and tons of jewelry.

How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?

Like I said above, it is very important to me because of my past and just trying to push through and start a new point in your life. Being confident in your own skin and being able to just get up and feel good about yourself is more important than anything when it comes to self love.

What makes you beautiful?

I think what makes you beautiful is your personality. Your personality and how you act on a regular basis and to just be yourself. I think if you stay true to yourself you will always be your kind of beautiful.

What would you say to another girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I think what I would say to someone that is struggling with their confidence is they need to pray, praying helps me with what I am struggling with and it helps me so much. I always turn to my faith for help, I have never let go of my faith and I think that is what helped me the most with all my situations and struggles.
