Tell us about yourself.

-Hello, my name is Hailey N. I am 19 years old and I grew up in Long Island, New York. I believe that I am a compassionate, hardworking, selfless, and assertive person. In my family, we spend time together by traveling back and forth to Florida because we go to my favorite place, Disney World. When I became a teenager I was diagnosed with Raynaud's disease. I quickly became insecure with the way I looked but thanks to everyone in my life that loved and supported me I was able to look past my insecurities and continue following my dreams. I believe everyone should become everything they've ever dreamed of being.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

-When I was 3 years old I started to get into the world of modeling. I loved every minute of it and aspired to become more involved with modeling when I got older. I currently model as a hobby as well as ambassador work for various brands.

What is your biggest dream?

-My biggest dream is to inspire and help others. I want to go through life following my heart, because I know It will lead me down the right paths.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

-To be your own kind of beautiful means to embrace the things that make you unique. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. It means having the confidence to love yourself and be who you are.

How would you describe your fashion style?

-My fashion style is usually casual chic. Depending on the day I sometimes go for a sporty or hipster style as well.

Who or what inspires you?

-My loved ones and the people closest to me inspire me the most. I know they are always there for me and will always support me no matter what. There are a few people in my life that inspire me more than others. My older cousin Michelle is one of those people. She is one of the smartest and most hardworking people I know. Ever since I was younger she would always be my role model. Adrian, he always made sure that I knew my worth and that I always believed in myself. I am very grateful to those in my life that have inspired me to follow my dreams and become the person that I am today.

What are your greatest accomplishments?

-My greatest accomplishment so far in my life was getting into nursing school. Getting into nursing school was another step closer to following my dreams and helping those in need. I think taking a negative situation and building upon it to be a positive is another one of my greatest accomplishments.

Do you have any special talents?

-My special talents include: special effects makeup, cosmetology, drawing and painting, playing the piano, and boxing.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

-I have faced many hardships throughout my life, thankfully through each hardship I have grown into the person I am today. As a young teenager I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s disease. This disease causes my arteries to become narrow when I experience cold or stress. When this happens my skin becomes frostbitten and turns blue. Everyday tasks like: going into the fridge, having an iced beverage, writing, drawing, even brushing my hair became challenging at times. I needed to wear gloves throughout the day which brought a lot of attention to me. I would get bullied and called different names like “glove girl” and “Elsa” from Disney’s Frozen but in a negative way. After a while I became very self conscious about the way I looked. I learned that no matter what people say this will always be a part of who I am. I began to embrace this part of me because this is what makes me unique. I think for me, and my health issue, with all its quirky things like wearing gloves were the things that made me unique. They have shaped me to be the person I am and accomplish the things that I have done now and will do in the future. I learned in my life there will be bad things that happen, but you have to just “let it go” and become the person that you want to be.

What makes you beautiful?

-What makes me beautiful is my kind heart. I believe that beauty is found within. Having a kind heart truly makes a person beautiful inside and out. Too many people are quick to judge others by their outside appearance and don’t take the time to really get to know someone.

- Your heart will always be there to light the way for you. Never lose hope!!
