Tell us about yourself

I’m 22 and from Salem, Oregon. I currently go to Savannah College of Art and Design to study fashion design and performing arts! In my free time I love to keep up with the industry, specifically fashion, modeling and film.

Tell us about your modeling experience

I always wanted to model from a young age but didn’t actually start until right after high school. My best friend is a photographer so I always modeled for her and when I moved to the east coast I jumped right in. My school has a annual fashion show that was just featured in Vogue last year, I applied to it this year so hopefully that’s an opportunity I can pursue the next few years while I’m there!

What is your biggest dream?

My dream is to be known within the industry. I would love to work in a feature film or work with some of the top designers in fashion. My ultimate goal has always been to move to New York and pursue my dreams there.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I think being your own kind of beautiful is embracing who you are inside in out. Accepting your flaws and using them to make you stand out and be unique.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style has always changed throughout the years. I grew up being a Tom boy and throughout high school I would only wear athletic clothes. It wasn’t until I graduated that I started expressing myself through my clothes and dressing up more. As of today I would say I dress more street style, edgy, classy, unique, etc. it really depends on my mood.

Who or what inspires you?

People who are passionate and dedicate themselves to their craft inspire and motivate me to continue to chase my dreams. I also get daily inspiration and support from my family and friends who are the most important people in my life.

What would you say to someone just getting started in modeling?

You miss 100% of the chances you don’t take. Everyone has to start somewhere so say yes to every opportunity, and put yourself out there! You won’t know if you don’t ever try.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome and how have they changed you.

I’ve had a lot of loss in my life, and it really puts everything into perspective. It pushed me to start taking risks and stop caring about the fear of failure. You’re never promised tomorrow so make time for the people and the things that are important to you.

What makes you beautiful?

I think what makes me beautiful is my uniqueness and personality. My kindness and ability to make people laugh are a few qualities that I take pride in.

What would you say to someone who is struggling with their confidence?

The way you treat yourself mentally and physically play a big role in my own confidence, so to anyone struggling with their own, i’d say be patient and kind to yourself. You are your own worst critic and it’s easy to forget that everyone has something unique to bring to the table!
