Tell us about yourself

A hardworking Filipina from New Jersey. 21 years old and living life the best that I can with the greatest people in the world!

Tell us about your modeling experience

My modeling experience is very unexpected. I never thought I’d be part of big fashion weeks, print, photos/video-shoot, and to be special guests without any experience. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities and blessings. Modeling was fun and I made lots of friends!

What is your biggest dream?

Everyday of my life, I look forward to have my biggest dream to be a reality because dreams are simply made to be real and not just to be a mere thought waiting to be discovered. Dreams don’t just happen because a dreamer needs to have passion and determination to make dreams come true. My biggest dream is to be a pilot in U.S Air Force while doing modeling. I want a stable job and I want to take care of my family financially and physically. I want to be able to care of my parents, just like they did to me. Not to pay them back, to show them it’s very worth it.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

First of all, the idea of beauty is not only based on a physical appearance of a person or object; beauty comes from the inner self. Natural and real beauty creates from within the heart of individuals. When a real beauty develops, it is expressed as a charming, attractive, and glamorous soul that is hard for one to contain. If a lady is beautiful on the inside, she is also beautiful on the outside because her body is an expression of soul and mind. Inner beauty creates a positive attitude towards oneself, others, and the environment.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I can describe my fashion style is more boyish and sometimes girly. I can do both and I’m both comfortable wearing it. I believe that if you can describe your style and know exactly what makes you YOU, you get more clarity on what you like and what you should buy. It’s something I also like to do for myself as lately I have found that my style is all over the place. I’m not clear exactly what my style is, what elements I need to compliment my style and how I can buy pieces that I will like for a longer term.

Who or what inspires you?

There are always people in our lives that can be heroes in many ways, but my life's hero will always be my mom. She influences me since I was born until now and also sacrifices a lot in her lifetime to make my and my siblings lives better. She loves us unconditionally, I have become the person I am today because of her. I adore her very much, not just because she is my mom, also such an amazing person with a gold heart, my best friend for life, an advisor, kind, respectful and strong person.

What advise would you give to someone just getting started in modeling?

Hey, if you love what you do, it technically won't feel like work. When you're just getting started in the industry, you should take every meeting, go for every opportunity, and always remember that for every job you want, there are hundreds of others hoping to get it, too.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome and how they have changed you.

The last few years of my life have been challenging and the challenges I have overcome have taught me how to look at obtacles in a differnet way. When I think about my challenges in the past few years, my mind instantly goes back to my grandma passing away for almost 2 years. This is something I am still struggling with; my grandma was more than a grandma, she was one of my best friends and she was always pushing me to be my best.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be beautiful, you need to love yourself, be comfortable in your skin and most importantly, accept who you are.

What would you say to someone who is struggling with their confidence?

I would tell them that there are no real successes without rejection. The more rejection you get, the better you are, the more you've learned, the closer you are to your outcome. If you can handle rejection, you'll learn to get everything you want.
