Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)

Hi there, my name is Issadora Gragg but I go by Issadora Violet, which is my middle name. I am 22 years old, and live in Seattle Washington. I grew up in a very small town at the base of mount rainier with a graduating class of less than 200 students. I participated in dance competitions and performances for 17 years of my life, and have a strong passion for fashion, arts, and animals. I currently model, but I also train dogs for my second job. I was raised by my grandparents and appreciate family more than anything.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I started modeling a year ago, and fell in love with the industry almost immediately. Modeling has allowed me to broaden my fashion/clothing styles, and meet so many other wonderful individuals who like the industry as well whether it be other fellow models, or makeup artists, stylist, and most importantly photographers. I have build long lasting relationships due to modeling, and it has all been worth the occasional long drives.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to become an influencer, for clothing and makeup companies, but also for pet companies. I eventually want to start my own dog training business and introduce dogs into the influential world along side me. I think animals are a large needed part of our society and I would love to train dogs to be by models side or have their own influence for dog related ads/commercials.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

For me, be your own kind of beautiful means not following anyones path but rather be inspired by a role model to make your own path. I like to relate human beauty to butterflies. Because Not all butterflies are equal/identical but they all have their own beauty marks that make them unique and they fly in their own path rather than behind another butterfly.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is a hard thing to pin point because it is all over the place. I have a very large spectrum of styles or even personas depending on what I am doing for the day. I enjoy high class styles with some silk or sleek looks, as well as athletic clothing, but I also do get caught wearing e-girl styles for expression on occasion.

Who or what inspires you?

What inspires me is my closest friend who has been modeling who 6+ years. She pushed me to start modeling and I thank her every day for it. Her work she does inspires me every time she keeps growing as an individual and with the company it pushes me to grow along side of her. We are both taking very different routes for our end goals but every step she makes inspires me to keep going even on the hard days.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling is, just keep pushing forward even on the days you feel like standing in one place. Keep meeting new people, making new content, but most importantly, just enjoy modeling and be thankful for the opportunities that come your way.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Some obstacles in my life unfortunately would have to be with family. I was born into a very unstable home of a mother who was extremely abusive emotionally, physically, and neglectful to all 10 of her children. Many of my siblings were in foster care for a period of time while our mother would disappear, but I was fortunate enough to have a grandmother who found me, and took me in then raised me for the rest of my life. I had to learn to accept that I did not have a “mother” like other kids, and I had to learn how to be alone, because for a long time I had separation anxiety due to the neglecting. It took me many years to overcome this trauma but I am so thankful for my grandmother and she has shaped me to be appreciative of what I have, and to be kind and loving and just enjoy life for what it is.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

What makes me beautiful is my soul. I always try to be the best version of myself, even when the days are not the best. I overcome and concur to make a bad day, a good day by putting a smile on others faces and helping someone who needs assistance even if it’s just a shoulder to lean on. I think anyone who puts others before themselves is beautiful.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

In high school I was labeled as I’m sure many others were, I had to learn to not be offended or defensive because when people are haters or downers on your life, it just means that you have something they want or don’t, or they are not meant to be in your path your walking. If you are struggling with confidence, just remember to look in the mirror every day and tell yourself you are beautiful wether you believe it or not because one day, you will know it.
