Hi! My name is Electra W ! I tend to go by Electra Storm which is my middle name! I’m 24, from Kansas City, Kansas home of the Kansas City Chiefs!
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I have gotten to do work for Strange Music as a stunt performer & actress when needed for the last 3 years! It is a well known music label in Kansas City. This year I have just began modeling more and can’t wait to further my career!
I have been taking pictures for the last 2/3 years. This year I have began modeling more than I have before especially the last 4/5 months honestly besides working with Strange Music. I have done 2 jewelry shoots modeling earrings and necklaces with andriesse photography, I’ve handed modeled jewelry for a company well known on Instagram @cyberspacesshop multiple times. I have just collaborated with a clothing line & will be doing another with a different line! I have done multiple shoots. I made the current roster for Kansas City fashion week!
What is your biggest dream?
To be a known model not just known but a liked model, a respected one, obviously takes time to build up. I want to walk in a major runway show and to be on the cover of a major magazine!
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful
My own kind of beautiful. I get so many thoughts. I guess that would be to look at yourself and like who you are inside and out. To give love and to be loved I guess that’s beautiful to me.
Describe your fashion style/
I definitely have a 90s girl fashion style! Tight tops big jeans, big shirts, large coats, I guess you would call boy jeans. I like baseball caps. The Nike shoes but I love heels, long boots, love leather jackets. I do have naturally wavy hair so it is a vibe for me!
Who or what inspires you?
Who inspires me? Me. My whole life I have done nothing but surprise myself.
What would you tell someone who is just getting started in modeling?
Take pictures with friends get comfortable then look for professional work! Look up modeling pictures, practice in the mirror, get to know people as in network, make friends, ask questions, add yourself to local modeling groups, look up local modeling classes near you. Practice, practice, practice!!
Describe some obstacles you have overcome and how they have shaped or changed you.
I think growing up until now I have had to deal with obstacles my whole life. I know we all say it and we do honestly all struggle. I don’t want to be to personal but I am surprised I’m here today and here where I am at now and I still have so much more I want for myself.
What makes you beautiful?
The way I hold myself, my kindness my ability to be kind and still love others even though in my life people have not always been kind to me for years and years. I still show gratitude and respect. I have manners and I’m considerate, and I will always be understanding or try to be.
What would you say to someone struggling with their confidence?
You are beautiful and even though you don’t see it you are it’s a feeling inside because not everyone in life will like you or who you are but that’s their opinion and you can live your life beautifully without them. You have to try to remember someone does love you and someone sees you. Know that we really are beautiful in our own ways.
