Tell us about yourself/

My name is Sara. It is pronounced differently though. “Saw-ra Joke-eye” is the pronunciation of my full name. I am Albanian. It’s a very small country in Europe. I am 19 years old.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My modeling experience consists of me walking down my hallway, imagining it’s a runway. I don’t have any experience, but I have pretended my whole life that I am a victoria secret model. So I have practiced plenty.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream would be to make my parents proud. They won the lottery to come to America. It was a one way trip with zero dollars in their pocket. They went from communism to a free country. My parents had nothing and worked hard to have everything, so I didn’t have to grow up the way they did. I want to prove to them that it was not for nothing.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Your own kind of beauty is synonymous to unique. Knowing that no one in the world looks exactly like you is a beautiful thing. Everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way.

Describe your fashion style.

My fashion would be described as classy. I wear heels with everything. I love to wear simple things yet look elegant at the same time.

Who or what inspires you?

My mom is my inspiration. Knowing everything she has went through and still remains the sweetest person out there is remarkable to me.

What advise would you give to someone who is just starting in modeling?

My advice would be to love your insecurities. If you have an insecurity, it only means it’s something different than usual. Usual can be boring. Uniqueness is beautiful.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome and who they have changed you.

Death would be the biggest obstacle i’m still working on overcoming. I’ve recently lost my uncle and boyfriend and it’s insane how life works. At any age, your life can be over. It has taught me to have no regrets. It also taught me to have no hatred in life.

What makes you beautiful?

What makes me beautiful would be my heart. Many people describe me as too caring or too nice and I don’t think being too much of something positive is possible. I enjoy giving kindness and I think everyone deserves it.

What would you say to someone who is struggling with their confidence?

To every friend I had that has struggled with their confidence, I always repeated the same words. You are going to look like this for the rest of your life. This is also the best you’re going to look in your life. You will only age from now. Learn to love yourself now, and adoring yourself in the future will come naturally.
