Tell us about yourself

My name is Cara M, I am 21 years old and I am from Salina, Kansas. I am currently a student at the University of Kansas majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. In my freetime I love to crochet, paint, and draw.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

This is my first time modeling! However, I used to do self-portraits in my room with my Canon.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to have a fulfilling life doing different and new things that push me out of my comfort zone. I want to be content.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful is to be your genuine and vulnerable self. Nothing is more gorgeous than someone being who they are as a person and how they interact with others and objects.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I really love lace so I would call my fashion style soft and feminine-like. If not lacy and light then I enjoy streetwear and lots of sweaters.

Who or what inspires you?

My parents and friends inspire me to be my best self. They are my biggest supporters in my life and I would be nothing without them by my side.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Have fun with it! If it is just a hobby or a career, remember to still have fun and enjoy modeling as an art form.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

Some obstacles I have overcome would be low self-esteem and confidence. Due to my low self-esteem and confidence I had a lot of self image issues. But with practice in mental health upkeep, therapy, and self-love I have come to love myself in a deeper way.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I would say my personality makes me more beautiful than my physical characteristics because I am able to have confidence in who I am and my confidence turns into beauty.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

I wish you could see the beauty you bestow on to others. It takes time to realize one's own ability to be confident and with work, support, and self-love you will be able to achieve it.
