Tell us about yourself:

My name is Celeste H. , and I am from Honduras. I come from a very diverse

background with a handful of experiences that question social justice.

I am 22 years old. I would describe myself as a passionate young woman who loves poetry,

justice, love, and self-care.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I do not have real experiences as a model. However, during my childhood I used to think

that I was a model, and I would walk in an imaginary runway wearing the clothes that my

mother used to sell in order for us to survive. I would “scape” the harsh reality by imagining

that I was a beautiful model walking in a runway.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to leave a legacy focused on helping others and giving back to the

community in any way, shape, or form. My biggest dream is to show girls like me that if I

can do it, they can do it too. I am an example of achieving the impossible; I am an example

of resilience, transformation, and hope.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful means to be confident in one’s body, mind, and soul. It is

the meaning of eradicating the barriers that society has built in order to keep us quiet and

obedient. Being your own kind of beautiful represent uniqueness, revolution, and freedom.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is a bold statement created by my emotions. I can dress feminine, classy,

and soft if I feel that way. But I can also dress the opposite. There’s no better way to

express myself than through fashion.

Who or what inspires you?

People who want to make a change in the world inspire me. I want to be like them. I am

inspired by the hearts of the ones who are empathic, compassionate, and caring. They

make the world a better place, and I want to do the same.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Be confident. If you have a feeling that you want to model, go for it. Do not doubt yourself,

there will be someone who will say yes, but you’ll never know if you don’t try. You do not

lose anything by trying.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed

or shaped you.

My perception of the world is different, and I knew that ever since I was five years old. I

grew up in extreme poverty with my two addict parents who showed me the cruel side of the

world. They hurt me, but they didn’t know any better. They didn’t know how to love or care

for someone, not even for themselves. And it makes sense because an addict has a love

affair with their drugs, everyone else does not matter. Homelessness, hunger, loneliness,

and violence forced me to be strong. All of these things are negative, but they made me

who I am. I have the power to adapt and grow in any environment, nothing can stop me.

Now, every one of my achievements are dedicated to the little girl who went through that

and survived.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

My heart and soul make me beautiful. I am physically beautiful, and I recognize that it’s a

privilege. But having a beautiful heart and soul is a different kind of beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their

confidence?

Life is too meaningful and beautiful to not be confident. Worship who you are because you

are the creator and owner of your world. There’s no one like you, and that’s your power.
