Advice I have for someone just getting started in modeling is to practice and get as much experience as you can. Look at yourself in the mirror and practice your poses and faces. I also suggest reaching out to photographers to build your portfolio.

My father, when I was struggling with my confidence throughout my teenage years, always told me to look at myself as a caterpillar continuing to develop and grow into this beautiful blue royal monarch butterfly. That is the best thing I could say to someone because it sticks with me everyday and I am reminded of it everytime I see a butterfly. Confidence is like a caterpillar growing into a butterfly; it's a process but in the end we are all beautifully unique in our own way.

To someone who is struggling with their confidence I would tell them to find self love. Make it habit to talk nice to yourself and connect with your inner voice. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and see the beauty in you.

To anyone struggling with their confidence:

“Confidence is not something that grows overnight. I would advise them to take steps everyday to get out of their comfort zone. Being positive with oneself, telling yourself compliments, and celebrating little achievements are great exercises to grow confidence.”

When I think about being your own kind of beautiful, I think about embracing one’s special uniqueness and the things that make you the way you are. In today’s society we´’e constantly faced with social media platforms with beautiful pictures and videos of “The perfect life”, and it’s easy to compare oneself and then start to reduce our own value because we start to believe that a picture is our beauty ideal even though it’s a lie. I wish that we all could have ourselves as our beauty ideal, just the way we were born, and still find others with all their differences from our self equally beautiful. Our differences are what makes us, and I believe we all could be our own kind of beautiful if we decide it to be.

I think the meaning of ‘your own kind of beautiful’ is you feeling comfortable and confident in yourself, without needing validation from other people. Expressing yourself how you think looks beautiful and stylish.

As models, we are attempting to create a unique work of art pieced together by so many facets: clothing, makeup, fabrics, colors, stances, expression, position, lighting, posture, shapes, design, skin, patience, and passion most of all. Beauty is unique to every model––every individual––and there is beauty to be captured in everything around us.

Being your “own kind of beautiful” means that every single person is different in their own way, physically and emotionally. No matter how different you are from someone else, you are unique and don't have to be a copy and paste of society's expectations because different is better.

To be beautiful means to be comfortable in one's own skin and being a light in the world for good; spreading love and acceptance. Being beautiful comes from the inside and shines outwards and those who see the beauty in everything appreciate everything and want for nothing.

As the expression goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” I believe that superficial beauty in our society is so discomforting. Due to social media standards women as well as men are confined to be perfect 24/7, which is detrimental for many people’s mental health. What many believe is beautiful, others will not, and it is important to understand that beauty is deeper than the surface. When someone is kind, proper, intelligent, and hardworking and portrays it through their beliefs and mannerisms, is when someone, in my belief, is the most beautiful they could ever be.

I would describe my fashion style as open. I don’t like to box myself into one style. Some days I feel like dressing alt and the next day cottagecore. It all depends on how I’m feeling that day. I love to play around with fashion.
