Mia K.

Tell us about yourself:

Hi! My name is Mia Katos. I’m 15 from Boston, and all my life I’ve wanted to be in the entertainment business. I’m really exited to be signed with Hannah Noelle models, so I can have a bigger platform to spread love and positivity.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to make it far in the entertainment industry. It doesn’t matter if I’m modeling, singing, dancing or acting, I just find everything in this industry so amazing.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful to me means that you embrace who you are. If you feel more confident with some mascara, go for it. If you don’t want any makeup, that’s fine too. It’s all about how YOU see yourself. That’s what makes you unique and beautiful.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I did a small runway show in 2013, and did small shoots with local photographers, but this is the first place I’ve signed to.

What is your dream brand to model for?

My dream brand to model for is probably Hollister or American Eagle. I love their clothes and have a lot of them so I feel like it would be fun to see myself on their website/magazine/etc wearing clothes I love.

How would you describe your fashion style?

My fashion style is modern but laid back. I love ripped jeans paired with a cute top, and ankle boots. I also love those days where it’s leggings and a sweatshirt, because I find that super cute and comfortable too.

How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?

Self awareness and confidence is very important in your everyday life. Trust me, I know it’s hard to be confident but you just have to find what makes you feel beautiful on the inside, because it will radiate on the outside too.

What makes you beautiful?

Honestly, I think the pain I’ve been through makes me beautiful. The small scars on my body show me I’ve survived so much. On the outside, I love my hair and eyes, but to me, I feel like what’s on the inside really shapes how you look on the outside. An ugly heart can ruin a beautiful face.

What would you say to another girl your age who is struggling with their confidence?

If you are struggling with loving yourself; I’ve been there. I still am here. If you want to make a change, go for it. But if you are trying to look like someone else, don’t. Society is making everyone want one image of beautiful, when you are absolutely gorgeous the way you are. If 99% of people found you unattractive, that means 750,000 still find you stunning. Keep that in mind. Stay strong and work hard because I promise you are stunning.
