Tell us about yourself.
My name is Brejette and I am fifteen years old. I'm from Seattle, Washington and I love to try out new things, explore and I'm always down for an adventure or to step out of my comfort zone.
What is your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is to one day have a career that I am happy with and that I love doing. I want to be stable and to give back to my parents and to have a family of my own one day. I also want to travel and constantly have new adventures throughout my life.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
To be your own kind of beauty is being comfortable with who you are as a person. You embrace and love your imperfections instead of hiding them away. I also think, seeing everyone else's beauty also makes you embrace your beauty and imperfections even more. Instead of comparing yourself to others, you lift those around you as well as yourself. It's embracing who you are as a person and being confident with loving yourself and growing yourself to be beautiful from the inside and out.
Tell us about your modeling experience.
I'm only starting out with modeling. I've always been intrigued and told to try out for modeling by my friends and family. It's overall been an interest for a while now, and I decided to just go for it!
What is your dream brand to model for?
My dream brands to model for are Pacsun, Brandy Melville, and Hollister. But, my top priority with any brand is to always have body positivity and that they accept anyone, no matter how they look like. Whether it be their skin colour, scars, stretch marks, size, weight, height, etc. I think body positivity is such a big thing that many people need to be aware and taught about!
How would you describe your fashion style?
My fashion style is quite basic. But, I also like to implement a lot of gold and a chic, classy, yet casual vibes to my outfits. Overall, I like experimenting with my look and switching it up here and there; and I'm not afraid to try new articles of clothing.
How important is self-awareness and confidence to you in your everyday life?
Self awareness and confidence is such a big thing in my everyday life. I'm currently still learning to love myself, but comparing myself now to my past self - I am way more comfortable and confident in my own skin. Learning to love myself has been a process, but it's honestly beautiful. I get insecure here and there sometimes, but who doesn't? Once yo learn to be comfortable and confident with who you are, you will continually bloom and grow into an even better version of yourself.
What makes you beautiful/handsome?
I think what truly makes me beautiful is my personality. Sure, there are some physical traits that I find beautiful - but who I am in the inside is what makes me, me. I'm adventurous, loving, ambitious, stubborn, understanding, positive and compassionate. My personality and my quality traits that make me unique is what I think is beautiful about me.
What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?
For anyone that is struggling with self love and confidence, my biggest advice and truth is... that it is a process. You don't just wake up the next morning expecting to love yourself instantly. You have to learn to embrace your imperfections, to stop comparing yourself to others and instead lifting them as well as lifting yourself. Find what you're passionate about and surround yourself with love, instead of toxicity. Good luck and much love!
