Tell us about yourself (where are you from, age, whatever you want to add)
I am Greta Beqiri, 20 years old from Westchester, New York. Ethnically, I am Albanian. Other than being a model, I am currently a college student majoring in Biology, planning to further my education and become a pharmacist.
Tell us about your modeling experience
In 2020, when quarantine came around I started taking Instagram pictures often since that was all to do and soon realized I loved being in front of the camera. In mid 2021 I decided to do test shoots with photographers in NYC. After my first shoot, I knew that modeling is meant for me. Ever since I've worked with many different photographers and learned a lot about the modeling industry.
What is your biggest dream?
Being on a billboard in Times square is one of my biggest dreams. I'm also a content creator and have always wanted to grow my social media platforms to boost other females with their confidence as I used to struggle myself.
What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?
Everyone is beautiful in their own way. Embrace your features, remember that you are unique, and most importantly be yourself. Being on social media, you constantly feel like you have to like others or do what others do to be beautiful, but being yourself is the most beautiful.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Anything, I love fashion and always love trying out new styles!
Who or what inspires you?
My parents are my biggest inspirations. They moved to the U.S without anything, not even knowing English. They've shown me that anything is possible as long as you work hard for it and to never give up on the obstacles thrown your way.
What advice would you give to someone who is just getting started with modeling?
DO NOT GIVE UP! Do not feel that you are not skinny enough, beautiful enough, and most importantly do not compare yourself with other models. You may come across negative people, but do not let them get to you. When I began, I watched a lot of youtube videos to prepare myself to start modeling and even reached out to other models asking about their journey via dm.
