Tell us about yourself

Hello! I'm Gwyn and I live in a small town in the pacific northwest. I love all sports, and play varsity flag football at my high school. I attend the largest high school in Washington state! I am also a competitive dancer and am on a team at my local dance studio, as well as a part of the HEAT Force Company. I am 16, and any free time I enjoying hanging out with my friends, checking out the local coffee spots, and of course shopping!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I have been modeling since I was 2. My first big job was modeling leotards because they didn't have manequins that looked real enough to showcase them. My face never made it onto the hang tags! I have walked NYFW twice, and that was amazing. I have worked with many local photographers as well as some in New York. I enjoy being in front of the camera - and having a great time!

What is your biggest dream?

I would love to dance/cheer for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Natural, comfortable in your own skin. Accepting of all types of people and embracing our differences. I embrace my gap teeth, my freckles, and everything that makes me uniquely me.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I love fashion, but living in the pacific northwest means lots of denim, hoodies, and Ugg's. But I also enjoy athletic clothes - I am very active and often go from school, to football practice, to dance. So black leggings and tops are a staple. Along with a great pair of Nike Dunks!

Who or what inspires you?

My mom is my inspiration. She is fearless, works hard and is very succesful. She is smart and does so much to support me. She has compassion for all things, and that is a trait that I just love about her.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Don't take yourself too seriously. Have fun, enjoy the experience. It's a lot of fun meeting new people, traveling and seeing new places. Soak it all up.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

I moved around quite a bit when I was little for my mom's career. I've had to learn to make new friends quickly, and you just have to jump in feet first. This has helped me to learn how to adapt to situations and people around me and make the most of every experience.

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

Well, I'm not sure what makes me beautiful. But what I find beautiful is people being kind, caring and open to all things life has to offer. Treating others with kindness and respect - that is beautiful to me.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

That's a tough one - doesn't everyone struggle with their confidence every once in a while? I would say, everyone is unique and just to lean into what makes you different because that is what makes you special. Don't focus on every little aspect of yourself - turn outwards and find the beauty in everything around you.
