Tell us about yourself

My name is Hailey G., I was born and raised along the coast of central New Jersey. Back home I have an amazing family I enjoy spending quality time with. My mom and dad have done an amazing job raising my siblings, Richie, Kayla and myself and have built the a strongest foundation for us. My family is the reason I am who I am today and are my biggest supporters. I am a student in Phoenix, Arizona. I love to keep myself busy and in staying busy, I most enjoy doing my best to leave a positive impact on someone’s life and show them the love of Jesus Christ. At the university, I am the founder of the fashion and beauty club. My goals with the club are to bring people together, allow everyone to make new friends and share the love of fashion and beauty together. I also love traveling and spent the last three months studying abroad in Europe and was able to visit eleven beautiful countries!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

I began modeling during the COVID-19 shut down, taking at-home digitals and using the them to grow my social media presence. In doing so, I began working with local photographers and continuing to grow my portfolio. I was blessed to meet and build connections with very talented persons in the industry and steadily built a name for myself. I soon began working on larger photoshoots including lifestyle, commercial, news segments, parts modeling, etc. I have done shoots such as modeling wedding gowns, high-end jewelry, shoes, makeup and much more. I have modeled all over New Jersey, New York, and Arizona and have loved every second of it. I also began to work in runway modeling, walking for local runway shows and eventually walked in the 2023 New York Fashion Week show in February and September as well as July’s New York Swim Week Show! It was such an amazing experience! I am beyond blessed with the opportunities I have had and continue to work harder each day to earn more opportunities.

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream is to lead other to Jesus Christ and help others feel the love of Christ. While working on my modeling career, it is my plan to also never let my walk of faith dull throughout the process. I implement my faith into everything I do each day. Whether it be lifting weights or walking the runway, to me, being kind is more important than any materialistic success out there. One small act of kindness goes a long day and you never know what someone is battling behind closed doors. That being said, it is my dream to one day help young women like myself with big dreams thrive in the modeling and influencer industry. It is not an easy industry to get into nor is it an easy industry to be successful in. I hope to continue working my way up in the industry and one day make a recognizable name for myself in the modeling and influencing industry.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

To be your own kind of beautiful is to be you. True beauty is being unapologetically you! You are beautifully and wonderfully made and there is no other like you. That is your own kind of beautiful.

How would you describe your fashion style?

I would describe my fashion style as trendy but uniquely me. I love keeping up with the latest fashion and beauty trends but my favorite aspect of fashion is putting my own unique pizzaz to it. Whether it be my love of adding fun accessories or adding a wild pop of color to my outfits, I love making trends more me!

Who or what inspires you?

My family inspires me. Each and every day, I watch my family work hard and achieve their goals and dreams. It is so inspiring to see them never give up and reach for the stars. I have watched my Dad work hard to build a beautiful life for me and my family. He is a business owner with the utmost ambition and drive. Yet, he still never goes a day without ensuring my siblings, my mom and myself how much he loves us. It inspires me to never stop being ambitious and driven. I watched my Mom chase her dreams and go through years of nursing school whilst being a wonderful mom. She achieved her goals and earned her nursing degree in 2012 after we had lost our home to Hurricane Sandy. She never gave up and continued working towards her goals and it amazes me. My brother, Richie has been an incredible athlete from the day he could walk. Watching him work towards his goals of being a football player all his life has always wowed me. He has gone through ups and downs, injuries and hardships but now can proudly say he is a D1 football player. His dedication to the game and the way he does not allow anything to distract him is truly inspiring. My sister, Kayla is five years younger than me but could absolutely be mistaken for my twin. Despite being those five years younger, I aspire to be more like her each day. She is strong, courageous, and never lets anyone walk all over her. I’ve watched her work towards her goals each day and never let negativity stop her. My family has supported me in every possible way. There isn’t a modeling photoshoot or runway show they are not ecstatic about! But above all, my family stays faithful. Even at the hardest of hard times, I watch them all lean on God for support and nothing is more inspiring than that.

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

My best advice to an aspiring model is to be yourself and do not give up. The modeling industry is full of rejection. But do not ever forget, rejection is redirection. It is easy to try and give up, but it takes motivation, determination and drive to keep going when it gets difficult.

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

One of the obstacles in my life is my health. Since eighth grade, I have struggled with various health issues and a few years ago received a Lupus diagnosis. The diagnosis and everyday struggle to keep healthy has not been easy. One thing I always remind myself is, nothing worthwhile is going to be easy. Battling an incurable, chronic illness each day has shaped me to be the person I am today. It allows me to see that anything can be taken from you in a moment and nothing should be taken for granted. It is so important to live every single day like it is your last. Having this illness does not always make my modeling career easy, but it sure makes me realize how blessed I am to have the opportunities I have. One of my favorite things to say is “today’s the best day ever!” and the reason behind it is because every day lived is a day to celebrate. God gave you another day on earth for a reason, don’t waste it!

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

I think what makes me beautiful is my mindset. Every day, despite the circumstances, I do my best to have a positive mindset and not allow the little things life throws at me to deter me.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

To the person struggling with their confidence, I understand and so does everyone. You might not realize it, but everyone has moments where their confidence lacks a little. You are not alone! But you are also so beautifully and wonderfully made. Every last part of you was carefully designed by the same God who designed the beautiful sunrise and sunset. And don’t forget, you are made up of generations of those who loved another. You are beautiful.
