Tell us about yourself

Hello, my name is Hannah L. I grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, and have lived in Phoenix for the past 4 years. I am a 22 year old high school teacher, and I believe in instilling character virtues in the next generation.

Tell us about your modeling experience.

In high school I performed in the National American Miss pageant, and my love for fashion and runways stemmed from there. I’m excited to begin my modeling journey with Hannah Noelle Models!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dream in the fashion world would be to walk in Paris Fashion Week!

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

Being your own kind of beautiful means not succumbing to the standards of this world, but rather to understand your own value and beauty as a masterpiece created by God. In a  world filled with impossible standards, grow and improve yourself to the best version of you, without compromising who you are. As my mom would always say, “enhance, but don’t change.”

How would you describe your fashion style?

When it comes to fashion, I prefer the classic style. Elegant, slim fitting, and iconic. I also enjoy athletic wear in the similar slim fitting yet stylish look. However, I have recently been branching into street wear, and I have enjoyed playing with the baggier look.

Who or what inspires you?

My biggest inspiration is to live like Jesus, and follow the calling He has on my life. While I cannot achieve perfection, and I often make mistakes, that doesn’t mean I can’t strive to emulate Christ!

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

As someone who is just getting started with modeling myself, just go for it! A step in the right direction can lead you somewhere you never dreamed of going. Put yourself out there, the worst thing someone can say is no!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

For a period of several years, I went through some changes in medication, which caused me to gain unhealthy weight, then in turn I developed an unhealthy relationship with food and not eating. In the most recent year, I have grown drastically in my love of myself, as I have been eating healthy meals, building muscle, working out, and growing comfortable in my body. It was a challenge to learn how to have this balance, and while it is a daily learning experience, I have grown and changed for the better!

What makes you beautiful/handsome?

In a purely physical sense, I think that my eyes make me beautiful. They are a perfect combination of my father's blue eyes and my mother's hazel eyes, and I believe that eyes are the window to the soul. I truly believe that beauty is found from within. This is often said to mean that your outside appearance is not important, but this is not true. If you are nourishing your spirit, your mind, and your body, this will be evident in your lifestyle and physical appearance. Even while I am working 2 jobs, I find little moments to do a pilates workout, juice, read my Bible, do a clay mask, or spend time in quiet prayer. It is our little habits that shape us, and can thus make us beautiful.

What would you say to another girl/guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Confidence is something that is not developed overnight. I am still on a journey to find full confidence for myself, and that is a daily lesson. However, it is important to recognize that you are a masterpiece created by God, and he made you as a person just the way you are. I would recommend examining your habits first, and seeing if there is something little that you can do daily or even weekly to make yourself feel more beautiful or confident. This can be as little as meal prepping healthy snacks, buying a new eyeshadow, or taking a long "everything" shower. These little things can go a long way, and consistency is key! You are truly unique, and developing yourself will make you confident, as you recognize how beautiful you are!
