Tell us about yourself

My name is Payton Ann K, I am born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and I am 23 years old. I have 5 younger siblings that I am so proud of! Besides modeling I work two jobs and I take part in volunteer opportunities around my city. My hobbies include working out, hanging out with my friends/ family, playing with my puppy, adventuring, and praising the Lord! My faith is the most important aspect of my life. I am intentional about living my life for God!

Tell us about your modeling experience.

My interest in modeling started at a very young age. I found myself idolizing the Victoria’s Secret Models. I began freelance modeling in 2020. I started by building connections with local photographers and creators in St. Louis. After building my portfolio I began applying to agencies around the country and around the world. I signed with an agency based in New York in 2023. I now have experience in editorial, commercial, fitness, bridal, boudoir, and runway. Working/ communicating with many photographers, agencies, models, and other creators has helped me build my confidence both in front of a camera and in everyday life! I am excited to continue my modeling career!

What is your biggest dream?

My biggest dreams for modeling are to model for a high fashion brand, and to walk in Miami Swim Week.

My biggest dream outside of modeling is to provide a successful and stable life for my future family.

What does it mean to be your own kind of beautiful?

I believe that it is important to honor God’s image of you. He made each of us as individuals, so why would you want to be just like someone else? I work hard to stand confident in my own skin by taking good care of my body and my mind. I think it is important to be your true self and not let society’s version of beautiful negatively alter how you view yourself. Do what makes YOU feel beautiful!

How would you describe your fashion style?

I wear what makes me feel comfortable and confident! I don’t try to follow the latest trend if it doesn’t best suit who I am. My style tends to change with the seasons. I am currently into very feminine and girly pieces, but I am also into dressing up athletic wear.

Who or what inspires you?

I have two answers for this.

  1. I live my life for God! He is my Lord and Savior, he is my best friend, he is my rock.

  2. My mother is the most inspirational person in my life. Everyone has skeletons in their closets, but her ability to overcome past obstacles and still be the most beautiful and powerful version of herself is amazing! She works hard in every aspect of her life, and she makes it known that she will never give up!

What is your advice to someone who is just getting started with modeling?

Find your niche. Build your portfolio. Apply to as many agencies as possible. There is no dream too big!

Describe some obstacles you have overcome in your life and how that has changed or shaped you.

From a very young age I began my battle with anxiety. There are countless reasons for the negative onset of my mental health episodes. If I am not careful my anxiety has the power to overtake my life. I have really had to fight hard to wake up and choose to be the best version of myself and not let the anxiety win! Everyone has a story, everyone has skeletons in their closet, someone always has it worse than you do! It’s important to note that you should never discount your feelings and emotions, acknowledge them and fight the battle head on.

What makes you beautiful?

I believe that my personality is the most beautiful part of myself. My heart is on fire! I live my life intentionally and with so much passion. I want others to see positivity radiating off of me and be impacted by that!

What would you say to another girl/ guy your age who is struggling with their confidence?

Find your favorite quote or Bible verse and write it on your bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker. When you wake up in the morning read that and remind yourself that there is no one else like you! It is easier said than done, but try to wake up and CHOOSE to live a more positive and confident life.
